I have been teaching in the Franklin area for over 25 years, and have also spent 1 year teaching at an international school in China. 2024 be my 4th year at Pokeno School. I love football, both as a fan of Liverpool and Wellington Phoenix and as a player for Pukekohe AFC, where I have played for 30+ years. I also love the Warriors, bike riding, and general exercise and sports. Aside from sports, I also love Lego! My wife is also a teacher, and I have 2 children, Aiden (24) and Brooke (22). I enjoy being part of the growing Pokeno school and community.

Hi my name is Leah Scown. I am excited to be part of the Pokeno Primary School community and getting to know the children and families. I grew up in the Bay of Plenty and love the outdoors, especially the beach. Teaching is a passion of mine and I love being able to support the children in their passions and interests.
