General Information

Kia ora,
My name is Alicia and I have been working at Pokeno School as a learning assistant for the past 5 years. I feel I am pretty lucky to be working at Pokeno School with all the amazing staff and students. I have studied early childhood and have always worked with children having it be as a nanny, Porse educator or in a daycare. I have 4 children of my own Michael 27, Brayden 23, Callum 17 and Ava 13. I love spending time with my family and going camping with them.

In my spare time I like to be outdoors either playing sports, hiking, kayaking, mountain biking and bootcamps. I enjoy coaching netball and also have gone back to playing netball.

I look forward to seeing what this year will bring and working with our students.

General Information

Hi, I'm Molly Mc Millan and I have been a teaching assistant since 2021, back in South Africa. When I finally reunited with my husband, I joined the Pokeno Kids After School team and a few months later was over the moon when I got the opportunity to join Pokeno School as a teaching assistant too; working and learning alongside amazing people and being able to support children on their individual journeys. Being a part of their daily achievements and struggles and able to support in teaching the way they learn.

In my spare time, when I am not busy with some sort of DIY project; my husband and I enjoy exploring the beautiful gem sites New Zealand has to offer. Going on walks, site seeing and visiting some of our family and friends we're blessed to have here.

I am excited to be a small part of each child's journey that crosses my path and Pokeno School's growth! If we don't already, I'm looking forward to exchanging a warm greeting or a chat when I pass you by :)
