Kia Ora,
My name is Minette Maritz, I was born and raised in South Africa but immigrated to New Zealand in 2017.
Previous to teaching at Pokeno School I was teaching in ECE. I am so excited to be part of the teaching staff of Kiwi whanau.
In my free time I enjoy going on hikes, walking my dog Zulu, baking, camping and spending quality time with family and friends especially when there is rugby on.
I look forward to getting to know you all!

Kia Ora, everyone! Kamusta?
I'm Maria Rushell Zinampan, but you can just call me Shelly. I've had an amazing journey teaching in primary schools back in the Philippines and as an ECE teacher in Singapore. My family and I made the big move to New Zealand in July 2022, and I absolutely loved my time as a Kaiako at Urban Explorers Pokeno for the past two years. This is my first experience teaching in a primary school here, and I feel so blessed to be at Pokeno School. Being new, I'm really looking forward to making new friends and jumping into all the exciting experiences that lie ahead!

I am Miss Haylee Shore and I teach new entrants.
I have been at Pokeno since 2022. Previous to teaching at Pokeno I managed a transition to school centre. I am passionate about bridging the gap between primary school and early childhood centres and supporting tamariki on their transition into school.
I live in Tuakau and have two wonderful children. My hobbies include travel, camping and up-cycling furniture, spending time with family and friends.

Kia ora koutou,
My name is Courtney Senn and I have been teaching in the junior school at Pokeno school for 5 years now. I have taken a year off as I welcomed my son Sebastian. I am excited to be coming back in a part-time capacity teaching Room 13. I love the arts and anything musical. With 11 years of experience as a teacher, I am thrilled to be back in the classroom and cant wait to meet all of the students in Term 4.
